What's it all about?

The Substandards are a group of like minded Standard 8 or 10 owners who are heavily into modifying their cars to gain more power and more fun.  The Club was formed in early 2009 when the 3 founding members all met at St Roses Classic Car show in Stroud UK and discovered they they all had similar passions and ideas.  The cars have all progressed a lot since then and are still very much works in progresss.  These pages should give you an insight into some of the modifications we have done and how we did them, what's going on in the next few months and some of the useful links.

We are all currently living in the Gloucester area, but that does not mean that you can't join us if you live elsewhere.  If you have a Standard 8 or 10 that is modified just drop us a line or catch up with us a one of the many runs or shows we attend.  You can generally find at least one of us at the Westside Street Rods meets at Frankie and Benny's in Gloucester on the last Thursday of each month.
